Calibrating your Balanzza

When to calibrate

Calibration may be required when it is initially installed, if the mini scale is moved to a substantial distance.
This is necessary because the weight of a mass in one location is not necessarily the same in another location. Also, with time and use, mechanical deviations may occur.

How to calibrate

Before entering calibration mode, press to turn the power on for 1minutes.
Enter calibration mode
Press to turn the power off. Press [Reset] first, then Press , while keeping pressing [Reset], the display will show the A/D value.
Calibration by the weight
Wait for the stable value to be displayed, Press the display will show "0", after 2 seconds, the display will show calibration weight value.
Place the calibration weight on platform. After the stable value is displayed, then press , the display will show "CAL", after 2 seconds, the displayed will return to "PASS" and then return to A/D value, now calibration is finished.
Press , turn off the power, press turn on the power again, place the weight on the platform to make sure whether weighing is correct, if not, repeat steps 2-5.
Return to weighing mode
Press to turn the power off. Press again to turn on the power and the scale return to the weighing mode.

Weighing

Before weighing:

Whenever possible, please allow the scale to warm up for 30 seconds after first turning the power on so that the scale will function properly and accurately.

Error messages:

EEEE: Overload
: Low battery

Weighing procedures:

Press the button to turn On the scale; and hold it for 3 seconds to turn Off the scale.
When power is turned on, all display segments appear on LCD for a few seconds and finally “0” will appear on the display.
Select the weighing unit with [UNIT].
Press [UNIT] to select a weighing unit: "kg" or "lb". Once the unit has been selected, the selected unit will be displayed above the weight value.
Start weighing.
1. If you do not use a container for weighing:
  - Verify the reading is "0". If not, press to display "0".
  - Place objects on the weighing strap to weigh.
  - Lift the object from the ground until hearing the beep sound, this indicates that the weight has been locked and displayed. Set the object down, and read the weight.
2. If you use a bag or other container for weighing:
  - Place an empty container on the strap and proceed to weigh it. Wait for the stability weighing value to be displayed and press to display "0".
  - Place the objects to be weighted in the container.
  - Lift the object from the ground until hearing the beep sound, this indicates that the weight has been locked and displayed. Set the object down, and read the weight.

How to Clean and Maintain your Balanzza

The only moving part of your Balanzza is the handle, this piece is critical for the strength and durability of the scale, it contains an internal metal rail that needs to be clean if any element makes its way in it, please proceed with this steps in case you need to detach the handle for cleaning or if you need to put it back.

How to Detach the Handle:

Turn the handle 90 degrees with the scale. The rails of the handle will become aligned with the internal screws of the scale. (Figure A)
Turn the scale diagonally keeping the handle at 90 degrees in order to retract the scale from the handle. (Figure B)
Remove any dirt or object that might have gotten stuck on the handle. DO NOT USE WATER.

How to Reattach the Handle:

Align the scale with the handle at 90 degrees.
Rotate the scale diagonally till the internal screws enter the handle rails.
Turn the handle to closed position by applying pressure at the screw levels.

Warning

The screen can stop functioning properly if mistreated or hit.
If the strap shows any signs of wear and/or break please stop using the Balanzza.
When collapsing the handle please do not have your fingers or hand between the handle.
When lifting the object with Balanzza please use the same precautions as any other object, the use of the Balanzza does not increase your strength or decreases the weight of the object.
When securing the strap, please keep your fingers outside the clip.
Do not leave the batteries inside the Balanzza for long periods of time without use.
